Solanum lidii (Gran Canaria Nightshade) Exclusive |
100 (150)cm, Gran Canaria Nightshade is an almost extinct, very decorative and robust woody Canary Nightshade native of rocky and sun-exposed to partially shaded spots in cliffs in the upper succulent zone of the island of Gran Canaria. Has nicely silvery haired, ovoid leaves and large mauve flowers for a long time, followed by small, orange fruits, which are poisonous as for most Solanum species. Makes an excellent pot plant in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot at a minimum of some 10°C in winter. IX-XII. More Details » |
