Primula elatior ssp. meyeri (syn. Primula amoena)
15 (20)cm, a rare and beautiful subspecies with pale pink to deep purple flowers and a yellowish-orange throat. It is native of the Caucasus, Georgia and north-eastern Turkey where it grows in rock crevices and hillsides in alpine meadows at an elevation of up to 4.000m. For any rich, humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Excellent for the rock garden. IV-V.
