15 (20)cm, extremely rare Primula usually growing as a short-lived perennial for a moist, peaty soil in shade. Flat conical inflorescence of deep lilac flowers and white powered stems and buds. Difficult, for the connoisseur. Native to Sikkim, Xizang, Bhutan and Yunnan, growing at up to 5.000m above sea level. V-VII.
