This species is somehow similar to Aeonium ciliatum from Tenerife at first sight, yet more compact in all parts with larger rosettes (up to 30cm ø) of dark green leaves with reddish brown margins. It features a larger, flattened conical inflorescence of white (sometimes slightly rose colored) flowers.
