2 (7)m, Jurema Mimosa (syn. Mimosa hostilis) is a perennial evergreen small tree with ornamental feathered leaves and white flower buds from Brazil to Mexico. Parts of this plant have been traditionally used for some psychoactive compounds by Indian tribes. Dried and powdered bark of this species (Tepezcohuite) has an adstringent and anti-inflammatory property. Easily grown in any rich, well drained substrate in a sunny spot throughout the year. In winter keep plants drier at a minimum of some 15°C. X-V.
