40 (100)cm, Opium Poppy is an annual, fast growing species from the Middle East with attractively large, silvery-glaucous, plain leaves and a large flower ball of bright pink to whitish-pink with a blackish center. Flowers are followed by large seedpods which are used for decoration purposes. Sow directly to the open ground after last freezing in April/May in any well drained soil in full sun. VI-VIII.
