Iris domestica (Leopard Flower)

50cm, Leopard Flower (syn. Belamcandra chinensis) is an annual to biannnual or short lived evergreen perennial with fanlike, bluish green leaves and showy bright to pale orange, red-dotted flower cups on upright hold, branched stalks. Iris domestica is native of easter Asia (eastern Siberia to nothern India, China, and southern Japan). For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny and protected spot. In Central Europe it is reliably winterhardy and it will readily self-sow under appropiate conditions. VII-VIII.
