20cm, the only Iris species with tuberous roots within the Juno section which is native to South-Western Europe, Crete and North Africa. It makes short, pale green leaves and showy sky-blue toi water-blue flowers. For a sunny and well drained position in the rock garden with some protection winter wetness. Alternatively grow under frostfree conditions in pots with a winter temperature of some 5°C. V-VI.
