100 (120)cm, is a rare and threatened Causasus endemic and naturally occurs in forest margins and rocky spots in the mountains in the northern Caucasus and Transcausasus. This perennial species has numerous lavender blue flower heads on upright stalks above strongly serrated leaves. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in a partially shaded to sunny spot.
