150 (200)cm, White Wooly Canary Sage is a most beautiful form from southern and central parts of Gran Canaria (e.g. Barranco de Fataga). It has dense silvery-shiny hairs all over the narrow arrow shaped, strongly fragrant leaves leaves. Temporarily frost resistant if root-stock is being well-covered in winter, will emerge again in late spring. Otherwise grow as annual: sow in early spring under glass and transplant into the open garden after the last freezing, will flower all summer long. This form from Salvia canariensis is sometimes offered incorrectly as Salvia canariensis "Tomentosum". USDA Climate Zone 9. VI-X.
