70 (120)cm, Cretean Sage is a beautiful, rarely seen perennial sage species with a woody base, quite large leaves and showy white, rose and lilac flower heads. The strongly aromatic leaves are used for the preparation of herbal teas (Phaskomelo) in Greece. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny and protected spot outside. In colder regions preferably grow as a pot plant under frostfree conditions with reduced watering in winter and a minimum of some 5°C. VI-VIII.
