90 (130)cm, a rarely cultivated perennial susbpecies within the Lavatera triloba aggregrate. It makes basally branching spikes with short haired greyish-green leaves and an unusual pale yellow flower color for the genus Lavatera. It is native of sunny dryish spots on Sicily (Italy) and possible in Algeria. For any rich, well drained soil in full sun. Plants are supposedly not sufficient winter hardy in Central Europe. In colder climates best grown in pots under frostfree conditions. Keep drier in winter a a minimum of some 5°C. Wild collected seeds which require a further confirmation that these are indeed from this species. VI-VII.
