Ipomoea albivenia (Wild Cotton)

120 (250)cm, Wild Cotton is a winter dormant and summergreen perennial morning glory with a tuberous, caudiciform rootstock. It is native in woodlands in Kwa Zulu, Mpumalanga northwards to Mozambique and Zimbabwe. It has silvery-grey, heart shaped leaves and ornamental, white, crinkled flowers with a pink or pale yellowish center. For any rich, well drained, preferably rocky soil in full sun throughout the year. In winter reduce watering to a minimum and keep plants at a minimum of some 15°C. Our seeds derive from pure white flowering plants with a pale yellowish center. VI-IX.
