3 (7)m, Black Kiwi is a fully hardy species with delicious dark green, walnut-sized, very aromatic fruits in early autumn. It has large, oval to heart shaped leaves and fragrant white flowers. Native of woods in China (Hupeh and Szechuan). Easily grown in any humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Plants require a climbing aid. V-VI.
