35 (50)cm, very large Scilla native of the Canary Islands. Makes various, up to 10 cm broad, deep green leaves with a nice reddish edge emerge from a massive bulb, which gains up to 8 cm ø. The pink colored racemes reach up to 40 cm in height and show small pink to lilac flowers in a lax inflorescence followed by fleshy fruits turning from bright green to decorative yellowish-orange. Not winter hardy, requires a minimum of some 5°C in winter in a sunny spot and careful watering. Summer dormant. XI-III.
Only two 7 year old bulbs are available, which are flowering size or close to flowering size!
