3 (7)m, Star Fruit or Carambola is a tropical tree from South America with angled, very juicy and aromatic sweet-sour yellow fruits. If cut into slices, these resemble a star. For any humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot throughout the year. In winter keep plants at a minimum of some 15°C (optimal: 20°C) with reduced watering. III-VI.
