70 (110)cm, Round-Leafed Alexanders is a Mediterranean biannual with large, glossy green, aromatic, round leaves which are used either raw or cooked in salads and soups as a substitute for celery, the fleshy stems can be cooked as a vegetable. It is fast growing and easily cultivated in any humus rich, always slightly moist soil in a sunny spot. Will readily self sow under favorable conditions. VI-VIII.
