Amorphophallus parvulus), a smaller species from Western, Central and Eastern Thailand to Cambodia with elegant, filigree to narrow leaflets and a narrow, pale yellowish-cream spatha embedding a protruding, pale creamish-white spadix. Amorphophallus harmandii is not to be confused with Pseudodracontium harmandii, which is a different species. Amorphophallus harmandii makes a very long and narrow vertical tuber, thus it is best planted in a rather deep pot, such as those offered for palms. For any humus rich, very well drained soil in a partially shaded spot. Keep dormant corms dry during winter at a minimum of some 12°C. Delivered will be 16cm long upper tuber cuttings with the growing point. These will make a regular vertical tuber during the next growing season. Superior flowering size tubers are fully mature tubers and may flower in the next growing season already! VI-VII.
