30 (75)cm, Dead Horse Arum has a horizontally hold inflorescence, the spathe is pale green outside and inside shaded dull red, the typical black spadix shows long "hairs". Nicely divided, fresh green to dark green leaves. For any humus rich, yet very well drained soil in a sunny spot. Wintergreen and not sufficiently hardy to be grown outside in Central Europe and North America. Best for pot cultivation in a sunny spot in a cool, yet almost frostfree greenhouse or wintergarden. Keep plants completely dry during dormancy in summer, as soon as new leaves are formed in autumn, keep plants slightly moist. 5.0cm ø sized corms are flowering size. 2.0cm ø large corms will need another year to reach flowering size.
