150 (250)cm, a rarely cultivated variety of Paeonia potaninii, native of open spots in mountain forests in northeastern Yunnan, China. This species was formerly called Paeonia potaninii var. trolllioides. Has slightly larger flowers on lon peduncles with pure yellow petals, and in some selections with an orange red center. Easily cultivated in any humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. V-VI.
