150cm, a woody perennial within the Borage family (Boraginaceae). It makes terminal, loosely branching racemes with small white to pale cream flowers above glossy narrow leaves. Native of open spots in the xerophytic shrub zone on all Canary islands (Spain). For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot throughout the year. In winter keep plants slightly drier at a minimum of some 15°C. VI-VII.
