100 (150)cm, North American Yellow Lotus is a tropical looking impressive species with large round leaves and pale yellow to white flowers hold on tall stalks well above water. Grow either in large 50 liter containers filled with 1/2 soil and 1/2 water and keep containers frostfree at a minimum of some 1°C in winter, so that the soil and the rhizome will not freeze through. Or, alternatively, grow in shallow water at the edge of a pond with the rhizome planted rather deep so that it will not be touched by freezing. The germination rate of this seed batch is above 90%.
