170 (220)cm, Mediterranean Shrub Mallow is an utmost beautiful woody shrub from the western Mediterranean with numerous, quite large, brilliant lilac flowers above ornamental greyish green, smoothly haired leaves. Easily grown in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Give some good winter protection against freezing through or cultivate in pots in very cold regions. If grown as a pot plant keep drier in winter with reduced watering at a minimum of some 5°C in full sun. VII-IX.
