3 (15)m, Glossy Forest Grape is a fast growing woody climber with threefoliated, leathery, dark green, glossy leaves on branches densely covered with long brownish red hairs. Small, yellowish green flowers and dark red to purplish berries (not edible). Native of open spots in woodlands in the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, Swaziland, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe). For any humus rich, well drained soil in full sun throughout the year. In winter keep plants cooler at a minimum of some 10°C with reduced watering. IX-XII.
