40 (60)cm, a smaller, elegant species from northwestern Malaysia and Thailand. Makes a fresh green leaf with rather narrow leaflets on a narrow stalk and a tall inflorescence with a yellowish green to greenish-cream spathe, which is usually mottled brownish outside and a quite long, in some specimens protruding pale yellow spadix. Makes a very long, white corm, thus it is best planted in a rather deep pot, such as those offered for palms. For any humus rich, very well drained soil in a partially shaded spot. Keep dormant corms dry during winter at a minimum of some 12°C. VI-VII.
