Physalis angulata (Cutleaf Groundcherry)

30cm, Cutleaf Groundcherry is a Central American annual with broadly serrated leaves, small yellowish flowers and small, yellowish-green, edible berries with a salty sweet taste that are used in local traditional cookery. Sow seeds in mid spring under glass in full sun at a minimum of some 20°C. Transplant seedlings to the open garden after the last freezing nights in late spring to early summer. VII-IX.
