Makes bright orange to yellowish orange (rarely red) flowers with strongly recurved petals and maroon spots inside above leaves arranged in whorls. For any humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. Seeds from a certified wild collection in Plumas County, Greenville, California at some 600m. V-VI.
