20 (30)cm, Aņaņuca Amaryllis is a herbaceous central to SC Chilean (Talca and Santiago) perennial with showy, quite large, intense rose or white flowers with lilac streaks before the narrow leaves emerge. For any rich, very well drained, rocky soil in a sunny spot. Protect from winter wetness and give some extra winter protection (e.g. thick dry mulch layer). Alternatively grow in pots, in winter keep dormant bulbs completely dry and frostfree at some 5°C. VI-VII.
