Butcher's Broom is an endangered Central and South European species with elegant evergreen, upright, blackish green, woody branches densely covered with leathery, blackish green, glossy "leaves" and most ornamental, brilliant red berries in autumn and winter. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. Fully winter hardy. III-IV.
