It is native of eastern Turkey (south of Lake Van) and has broadly ovoid leaflets, in some specimens with undulated margins, slightly glaucous with a reddish tinge in full sun. Large lilac to pale rose flowers. For the rockery garden in any humus rich, well drained soil in full sun. IV-V.
