20 (30)cm, native from Indochina to Thailand, further south to Malaysia and Borneo. Makes trilobed fresh to middle green leaves and a ornamental maroon to light brownish red spathe and an intense wine red to pale rose spadix below the leaves. Easily grown in any well drained, humus rich soil in a partially shaded spot. Keep dormant plants (corms) completely dry at a minimum of some 7°C. VII-VIII.
