Iliamna (Mountain Hollyhock)

Mountain Hollyhock or Globemallows are annuals, perennial or woody shrubs mostly native of North America with few species occurring in South America. All make upright racemes densely covered with showy cup-shaped flowers above usually acer-like leaves. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot.
Sow flat in any rich, well drained soil. Keep pots in a sunny, protected spot outside. Transplant as soon as seedlings are strong enough.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.
