Tecoma is made up of some excellent, slow growing members perfectly suited as container plants. Evergreen to semi-evergreen erect shrubs from S Africa to S America with attractive foliage and clusters of bright-colored flowers. For any well drained soil.
Sow the paper-like seeds very flat in any sandy or rocky soil at 20 to 25°C. Keep cooler at a minimum of some 12°C in a sunny position in winter, let fall drier. Endures even very shady light conditions in winter.

2 (4)m, small erect shrub from South America with walnut-like leaves and trumpet-like flowers in bright yellow. Very resistant and easily grown in pots in any rich soil in a sunny spot throughout the year. In winter keep plants drier at a minimum of some 15°C. VII-IX.
