Phlomis or Jerusalem Sage are usually winter hardy, semi woody perennials which make tall showy racemes with bright colored flowers above hairy, grayish-green to fresh green leaves. The common name "Jerusalem Sage" doesn't make much sense, as most species are native in sunny spots from the Mediterranean region through Asia and not in Jerusalem. All are easily grown in any rich, well drained, preferably rocky soil in full sun. Excellent in a protected spot in the rock garden.
Sow flat in any well drained soil. Keep pots in a protected sunny spot outside during winter. Transplant to the garden as soon as plants are strong enough.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6/7.
20 seeds per package, unless not stated differently.
