Arisarum, Mousplants or Friar's Cowls consist of three species from the Canary islands and the Mediterranean. All are summer dormant and winter green with small tubers and/or rhizomes. They have arum-like, fresh green, slightly glossy foliage and small inflorescences similar to those in Arisaema, yet with a recurving spathe and a protruding spadix.
Plant in pots in any humus rich, yet well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. Carefully water during winter while plants are being in growth. During summer keep dormant plants completely dry.
10 seeds per package or per dormant tuber (length in cm).
