False Gromwell is a small genus from North America growing in rocky open sites in woods and mountainous regions. They are usually perennial plants with coarse leaves and short stalks with nodding tubular flowers. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained, rocky soil in full sun. Excellent in the rock garden.
Sow flat in any rich, well drained, slightly rocky soil. Keep pots in full sun in a protected spot outside. Carefully transplant as soon as seedlings are strong enough.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.
