Sow seeds flat in any rich, well drained soil and keep pots outside in a protected spot. Seeds require a prolonged cooling period prior to germination in late spring. Carefully transplant young plants to the final spot in the garden as soon as they are strong enough.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.

Mirabilis multiflora (Showy Four O'Clock Flower)
30 (90)cm, Showy Four O'Clock Flower is a herbaceous perennial with several stems covered with oval leaves and dense terminal clusters with showy mauve to magenta flowers. It is native of rocky, dryish soils in open spots in pine or juniper woodlands from south western USA to Mexico. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained, rather rocky soil in full sun. IV-IX.
