Kennedya beckxiana (Cape Arid Kennedya)

150 (250)cm, Cape Arid Kennedya is a perennial climber with narrow woody vines and very large, bright red flowers with a yellowish green blotch above trifoliate leaves. Native of south-western Australia. For any rich, well drained soil in an always sunny spot and a winter minimum of some 7°C with reduced watering. VII-IX.

Kennedya coccinea

200cm, a vigorous semi-woody climbing species from Australia, with rather large, three-parted leaves and most ornamental, bicolored flowers in orange and pinkish red. Excellent pot plant for a cool wintergarden or greenhouse. Keep drier in winter at a minimum of some 7°C. VI-IX.

150 (300)cm, Black Coral Pea is native of western Australia. A perennial vigorous vine with large trifoliate, dark green leaves and amazing clusters of purple-black to chocolate and yellow flowers. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Very easily grown and unusual pot plants for the conservatory or cool wintergarden. Keep drier in winter at a minimum of some 7°C. VI-IX.

200 (400)cm, prostrate or trailing shrub with quite large, bright scarlet flowers with a yellow spot on the upper petal. Trifoliate, hairy leaves. Native of Tasmania and south-eastern Australia.
