Seeds (as well as all other parts of the entire plant!) contain a very strong poison which has been used as a lethal arrow poison by several African tribes. For any well drained soil, keep partially shaded to sunny.
Sow at a minimum of some 20°C in any humus rich, well drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Keep at a minimum of some 10°C in winter in a sunny position and let fall soil slightly drier.
