Melasphaerula (South African Fairy Bells)

South African Fairy Bells is a monotypic genus with only this single species native to South Africa. It has erect, sword-shaped, iris-like leaves and several small creamy white to pale yellow flowers on branching, slender stems. Grow as a pot plant in any rich, well drained soil under frostfree conditions at a minimum of some 5°C in a sunny spot throughout the year.
Sow seeds flat on any rich, well drained soil. Keep pots in a sunny spot at a minimum of some 20°C throughout the year.
All are USDA Climate Zone 8/9 unless otherwise specified.
