Tamarindus indica

Tamarind Tree, a delicious, sweet sour brown fruit pulp is extracted from mature, dried fruits. The pulp is used in many Asian dishes and makes a delicious drink as well if mixed with water and some sugar. As a container plant it makes an elegant shrub with broadly feathered leaves and numerous racemes of small reddish yellow flowers on older specimens.
