Sinochfranchetia is very close to Akebia (see above) from E Asia. As the latter genus these are climbing vines from moist and shaded woods. Decorative clusters of flowers followed by typical soft, large berries in early autumn which resemble grapes. An almost unknown genus and thus very rare, yet easy to cultivate in any humus rich soil in a shaded position.
Sow at a minimum of some 10°C in spring in any well drained soil, transplant in autumn.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.
