Rough Potatoes and Silkflower Vines are native from the Mediterranean through East Asia. All species make quite long, either annual or woody perennial, deciduous vines. The typical star like flowers within the silk flower family are followed by two capsules which will open to free small narrow seeds on long, silky parachutes.
Sow flat in any rich, well drained soil. Keep pots ourside in a protected spot during winter. Transplant seedlings in autumn or late spring. Note: All species within the silk flower family (Asclepiadaceae) contain a poisonous milk sap!
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.
10 seeds per package.
