They make utmost showy, very tall annual stems with numerous white (Kitaibelia vitifolia) to rose (Kitaibelia balansae) flowers. Both require a well drained soil in full sun and plenty of water in summer so that they will make a profusion of flowers throughout summer.
Sow seeds flat in any rich, well drained soil in pots from autumn to spring. Place pots outside in a protected and sunny spot in the garden. Transplant to the final spot as soon as seedlings are strong enough.
