Balkan Mallows consist of only two perennial species from the Northern Balkans, respectively the Levant and Cilicia in Eastern Turkey and Northern Syria. They make utmost showy, very tall annual stems with numerous white (Kitaibelia vitifolia) to rose (Kitaibelia balansae) flowers. Both require a well drained soil in full sun and plenty of water in summer so that they will make a profusion of flowers throughout summer.
Sow seeds flat in any rich, well drained soil in pots from autumn to spring. Place pots outside in a protected and sunny spot in the garden. Transplant to the final spot as soon as seedlings are strong enough.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.
20 seeds per package.
