Clarkia are mostly annuals from western North and Central America with beautifully colored flower cups in rosy and purplish shades above narrow leaves on sometimes nicely contrasting reddish stems. All Clarkia species are easily grown in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny and protected spot in the garden.
Sow fine seed flat directly to the ground in the garden in mid spring.
