Sanguisorba (Burnet)

Sanguisorba or Burnet from the Rose family (Rosaceae) includes some most decorative perennials found in N America, across Europe and E Asia. Most have serrated, feathered leaves and make sometimes tall, flowers talks with either white, rose, red to purple, usually dense flower racemes. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot.
Sow flat in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Transplant seedlings in late summer or autumn.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.
