Mallows and Malopes are either slightly woody perennials or fast growing annuals to biannuals. All require a well drained soil in full sun and plenty of water in summer so they will make a profusion of flowers throughout summer. Subtropical species are not reliably winter hardy in Central Europe and should be kept drier in a sunny spot in winter at a minimum of some 10°C.
Sow seeds from perennial and subtropical mallows flat at a minimum of some 15°C in any rocky or sandy soil. Transplant rootstock or young plants in autumn after leaves have yellowed.
Sow seeds from annual and biannual mallows directly to the ground after the last freezing nights in late spring.
All are USDA Climate Zone 7/8.
20 seeds per package unless stated differently.
