Some Mediterranean dwarf species are not reliably winter hardy in Central Europe and should be kept frostfree and in a sunny spot in winter (e.g. in a cool wintergarden).
Sow flat in any rich, well drained soil in mid spring. Keep pots outside in a sunny and protected spot. Transplant dormant rhizomes in autumn.
Note: All parts are poisonous if ingested !
