Dragon's-Teeth are semi-erect to creeping ground covering perennials with broad feathered leaves and numerous pea-like pale yellow or brownish-red flowers throughout summer. For any well drained soil in full sun. Excellent for the rock garden.
Sow flat in any rich, well drained soil. Keep pots in a sunny spot outside and transplant as soon as seedlings are strong enough.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.

Tetragonolobus purpureus (Red Asparagus Pea)

20 (40)cm, Red Asparagus Pea is a trailing perennial native of rocky, sunny sites in the Mediterranean. It makes trilobed leaves and small showy dark red flowers followed by winged seedpods, which are edible when harvested unripe and the cooked. These have an asparagus-like taste. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Excellent groundcoverer in the rock garden. VI-VIII.
