Cakile (Sea Rocket)

Sea Rocket is a small genus of annuals to biannuals from North America and Europa. Some species have showy lilac flowers and are easily grown in any rich, well drained to sandy-rocky soil in a sunny spot.
Seeds cannot be extracted from the hardy seed capsule. Each capsule contains a single seed. Sow entire capsules flat in any rich, well drained soil in mid spring. Keep pots outside in a protected spot and transplant to the final spot in the garden as soon as plants are strong enough.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.
